Check Out Our Location on Court Street

My, my, my! What a journey…it’s been a hectic, busy but exciting time here at Sweet Lilu’s but we have FINALLY moved into our new building on Court Street, Versailles.
Over the past couple of years, the business has grown so fast that we really did outgrow our kitchen at Bel Air Florists on Lexington Street.

sweet-lilus-court-streetWhilst the baking and decorating side of the business will still be conducted from there, the whole catering side of the company has been installed at Sweet Lilu’s at Court Street.
And….watch this space, because within the next few weeks we will be introducing our new “to go” menu from here too.

We’ve put our collective, creative heads together and come up with a take-out menu we hope will suit all palates.

A taste of what’s to come is “The Woodford”…country ham, Black Forrest ham and bacon on an Hawaiian ciabatta topped with caramelized onion aioli, lettuce and tomato.
Or “The 120″…a smoked maple and Dijon beef brisket, thinly sliced on a ciabatta with cream cheese aioli , sweet pickles and lettuce and tomato.

We will also have some “Shareables” like our onion rings coated in Cougar Bait Beer batter and served with a zesty dipping sauce and some fresh salads and wraps.
Everything will be cooked to order and there’s free delivery if you live within a couple of blocks from Court Street!!

Congratulations Melanie!

A massive congratulations to a member of our Sweet Lilu’s family…Melanie Gilhaus.

We are so proud of her. She has just graduated from Sullivan University with a degree in culinary arts!!

IMG_0953Melanie managed (we’re still not sure how ….but the words Wonder Woman come to mind) to juggle her full time job here as our Executive Pastry Chef and Baker and her other full time job as a mum to two lively teenagers!And that’s not our only good news about this special lady….whilst she has been busy baking delicious cakes for our clients she’s been baking her own little bun.
