Sweet Lilu’s has been serving the Bluegrass for 11 years this November! With three professionally trained pastry chefs on staff combined with a kitchen team trained under the tutelage of Founder and Executive Chef Beth Hensley, Sweet Lilu's Catering & Bakery a full-service catering company with a passion for good food served up with grateful hearts - and a warm helping of Southern hospitality is located in Historic Downtown Versailles Kentucky and delivers delicious best-in-class experiences all over the Bluegrass.
“We have had the opportunity to serve our food to so many people across all walks of life, for celebrations, special occasions, and sometimes just old-fashioned everyday life,” says Founder and Executive Chef Beth Hensley.
Whether serving up - signature desserts, entrees, appetizer favorites, and charcuterie tables at weddings, private parties, and world-renowned horse farms. Or, serving hundreds of incoming students at K-State orientation, or custom desserts to Asbury, Georgetown, and UK. Serving medical professionals for the Annual Gala at the Saint Joseph Hospital, Triple-A Minor League athletes of the Louisville Bats, or the cast and crew of Drew Barrymore’s The Stand-In, to name a few - Lilu’s love what they do and loves to celebrate with good food!
“Winning the Best of Lexington is such an absolute honor for our team! I started this little business in my kitchen over 10 years ago making wedding cakes when I was a new mom. Sweet Lilu’s is named after Liam and Luke, my two boys. And Lilu’s have been growing ever since! Laurel was born in 2013 and the new pink in our new branding is for her.”
Adding partners in 2019, Hensley says, “it is absolutely unreal to see what Sweet Lilu’s has turned into today - everyone on the team has a specialty that helps us drive our mission of celebrating life with good food - to folks all across Central Kentucky and beyond!”
